Cops have formally charged a Bronx man who stabbed his estranged wife to death in her living room after she kicked him out, officials said.
Andre Curtis, 36, was charged with killing nursing assistant Sophia Lamb, 44, on Nov. 26 in a Co-Op City apartment.
Curtis had been kicked out of Lamb’s home weeks earlier, but returned to try to talk his way back into her life.
After the murder, Curtis disappeared. Cops immediately labeled him a “person of interest” and asked for the public’s help in finding him.
Days after the murder, Curtis was found unconscious next to his car on Jerome Ave. Paramedics rushed him to Montefiore Medical Center in critical condition with a blood clot, officials said.
Cops could not immediately say whether the delay in the arrest was because of his illness.
Curtis has one previous arrest, which is sealed.
