Chinese authorities said 13 people were arrested over a scaffolding collapse at a power plant that killed 74 people.
The accident happened at the Fengcheng plant in Jiangxi province on Thursday. Most of the dead were building the interior concrete wall of a cooling tower, the Associated Press reported.
It said the investigation is focusing on Hebei Yineng, an engineering company that has taken on multiple power plant projects. The firm has a history of workplace fatalities, the AP reported.
Work on the $1.1 billion coal-powered plant is due to be completed in 2018, according to media reports.
Accidents are common at industrial sites in China, where anger is growing over lax standards, according to Reuters.
