God Is Great': Khloe Kardashian Breaks Silence To Praise Family And Thank Fans For Support After 'Incredibly Difficult' Week Following Lamar Odom's Overdose
It's been one of the worst weeks of her life.
But with Lamar Odom apparently out of immediate danger, Khloe Kardashian has taken a moment to make her first public statement since his collapse.
In a statement on her app and website www.khloewithak.com, she wrote: 'The past week has been incredibly difficult. I'm so thankful for family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar.
'I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work.'
And she said of Odom's condition: 'Incredible strides have been made.'
Khloe made it clear she was touched by the 'outpouring of love', saying that without the 'strength' the support gave her 'it would have been difficult to endure'.
And, signing off, the 31-year-old wrote: 'Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!'
Her statement came after Odom was airlifted from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at around 5.30pm on Monday.
Khloe is thought to have also traveled in the helicopter, having kept vigil at the former NBA star's ever since his collapse.
According to his aunt's publicist Odom has since taken his first steps. However despite this good news he has a long way to go to recover his health, with months of intensive rehabilitation expected.
Odom may even need a transplant as his kidneys are still failing and have yet to recover.
The 35-year-old collapsed a week ago during a drink and drug-fueled binge in a Nevada brothel.
