A religious woman in Florida received the ultimate sign yesterday when she spotted a cloud that she thought looks like a guardian angel.
Deborah Colalella took a picture of the ethereal formation over the skies of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and believes that it was truly a message from above, both in form and in timing.
As a practicing Catholic, Ms Colalella saw it as a miraculous coincidence that she spotted it on the same day that the new Pope was named in Rome.
A sign from above: A Florida woman took this picture of what she called a 'cloud guardian angel'
Symbol: The shape of the cloud appears as if it is a form with its wings or arms outstretched
Quick to act: Deborah Colalella saw the image when she was working in her study on Wednesday evening
The timing had other implications, as it was the anniversary of her mother-in-law's death and Ms Colalella had just heard that her brother was on the road to recovery after waiting for a liver transplant.
'I just couldn't get it out of my head and I still can't, because there are blessings that occur every day but you don't see these signs every day. No coincidence,' she told local ABC affiliate WPBF.
She said that she spotted the 'form' on
Wednesday night at around 6.45pm when she was at her desk, turning
around to the printer to grab a piece of paper.
'I'm a believer to begin with but this just captured me- it was amazing,' she said.
Big day: Pope Francis was named as the new leader of the Catholic Church just hours before the 'cloud angel' spotting
Timing: The moment was also meaningful for Ms Colalella because her brother is recovering from a liver disease and it was the anniversary of her mother-in-law's death
Just at that moment, she saw the sunset and a cloud that looked like a person with their arms outstretched.
'I'm a believer and I believe I saw it and it was definitely an angel- a guardian angel.'
'It brought tears to my eyes,' she said.
